DBS stands for "Don't be Sick", " De Buena Salud" (Spanish for 'of good health' ) and "De Bonne Sante" (French for 'of good health'). We are locally owned and located in the heart Metairie, LA.
Our mission is to help patients achieve better health and wellness through superb quality service. We are offering an alternative to big-box pharmacies, where we guarantee great customer service with a smile.
Our staff has over 70 years of combined experience practicing in Hospital, Retail and Long-term care settings ( i.e. Nursing Home/ Hospice Care / Assisted Living Facilities)
History
DBS Pharmacy officially opened in August of 2018 on Airline Drive in Metairie. That part of Airline Drive needed a facelift and a breath of fresh air. We believe that if we started something new in the neighborhood, we might attract development of the area and hopefully set forth a much needed improvement for the Metairie Terrace subdivision.
We believe that health care is local and cannot be replaced by a mail order service. We put up a locally owned pharmacy in our neighborhood for our neighborhood and the surrounding areas. As we grow, the community grows with us. We know our patients by their names and we cater better to their needs than the big box stores.
About the owner
Ella, the primary pharmacist, graduated from the University of the Philippines and attended Auburn University. As a pharmacist, she enjoys interacting with people from all walks of life. She loves being a part of the medical team and being able to help patients achieve better health and wellness by utilizing her expertise in pharmacy through provision of quality service and genuine care.
She is a licensed Pharmacist in Louisiana, Tennessee and Georgia and has an outstanding track record of fast, efficient, accurate pharmacy service and top-notch customer service to patients, and the health-care team. Her background has been in the academe, retail, hospital, and long term care settings.
